Heart Disease Podcast Episode 1

Ok, um here’s my little podcast about heart
disease I have two special guests with me today um it’s KJ, say hello KJ. Ho-how’s it
going. And uh Logan Allen. Say hello. Hello there. KJ Langlois. Yup that’s me. Starting
off with some questions do you guys um know anyone with heart disease? Um yea my grandpa
actually died of heart disease. Do you know anyone with heart disease? Uh nope I don’t
think I do. Maybe I do but, they’re probably dead and it’s too late now. Since KJ has had
first hand experience um do you know the dangers of heart disease? Are you kind of aware? Um
well not really because I actually never really knew my grandpa but from what my parents say
it’s pretty serious um, yea. Thank you, um. I actually, it’s not
very well known is that 48% of all Americans have high cholesterol. And out of everyone
that has high cholesterol up to 50% have heart disease. Too many burgers huh. That’s pretty
crazy. Too many burgers. I see. Why is this so difficult ok, moving on. Um, do you guys
know what cholesterol is? What cholesterol is? Yes. Isn’t it like the amount of fat in
your like veins. It is a form of fat. Oh. I’m not sure, I’m not well versed on cholesterol.
Well I will well verse you right now. Yea I kinda forgot to brush up (sick) on my heart
disease. There’s actually two types of cholesterol, there’s LDL and HDL, and HDL is actually good
for you. That’s kinda crazy. You can raise your HDL levels by eating fish, that’s why
fish is highly recommended by nutritionists. That’s pretty tight, I don’t eat that much
fish. You better start eating it. Yea have fun dying idiot. Good luck with your heart
disease, don’t mean to brag. Shoot. And then LDL is raised by eating trans fats which is
so prevalent because America is so high in like economic wise, that it’s cheaper to use
trans fats to make food taste good instead of regular natural ingredients. Isn’t trans
fats what’s in like, um like fast food and stuff? Yea exactly. Not good. Not good. Hm.
