Hey guys! Easter’s a couple weeks away. But this year, I’ve started a little early because I’m not making as many trips at the grocery store. I’m trying to order food in, doing my part with the social distancing. So, I am starting to think already about what I have to fill Rhodes’ Easter basket with. I know he’s enjoying having low-carb snacks. People are working from home, he is, he’s home more, and so I want to have things that he can enjoy. That will keep his blood sugar down. So I’m stocking up on beef jerky. He likes it. And I know it’s something, a low carb snack, that he will enjoy having, lots of nuts. So instead of getting small snack packs that he takes to work. I can buy bigger containers of things like peanuts, roasted almonds, even mixed nuts. I keep lots of these kinds of small containers, so that you can just grab a scoop, and he’s got the correct portion, and he’s not just taking the whole bag and getting more carbs than he’s intending. So I keep lots of these containers around. Always a great idea to give glucose tablets, and then some sugar-free gum and sugar free mints are great, and then last, I always sneak in, (I don’t want him to know I have them) But I always sneak in a few of his favorite chocolates or treats, just so he doesn’t feel like he’s missing out. But portion control, small Reese’s Cups, and I’ll throw in a few in his basket. I hope that’s helpful, start thinking ahead, because it’s gonna be a challenge to get everything we need before Easter and have a great one! Bye!
